Plankton is the natural food for
aquatic animals, which comprises of phytoplankton and zooplankton.
Phytoplankton is the base of
the food in shrimp ponds. The management of natural productivity
in shrimp farms is a critical element of pond preparation. Promoting
and sustaining a vigorous phytoplankton bloom and a healthy benthic
community before stocking PL’s and during the cycle contributes
to water quality in ponds through different mechanisms. These mechanisms
include increasing oxygen production through photosynthesis during
day light, decreasing levels of metabolites like ammonia, nitrite,
hydrogen sulphide, by regulating PH, by preventing the development
of filamentous algae and by increasing turbidity with a consequent
reduction in predation by diving birds. The cost of artificial
feed amounts to 70 75 % of total cost of production which could
be reduced by maintaining a healthy plankton bloom. “PHYTOMAX” is
natural bio-fertilizer, which promotes the growth and maintains
bloom and is eco-friendly unlike the inorganic fertilizers. It
will be completely utilized by the plankton and does not exert
any negative impact on the environment.

DOSAGE:
PHYTOMAX has to be used at the rate 250 500ml per ha of 1 mt
water column depth. The dosage could vary according to the condition
of soil and type of water used for the culture. For any specific
