(PROBIOTICS,
ENZYMES, SYNERGIZERS FOR WATER & SOIL)
The success of aquaculture operation depends on
the water quality to a very great extent. The pond bottom should
live longer than
the cultured animal hence it is essential that the bottom should
be maintained in a good condition. The organic deposits in the
form of dead plankton, uneaten feed, excreta and dead shrimp
deteriorate the quality of water which leads to diseases. The
shrimp aquaculture
industry is beset by diseases mostly due to bacteria (especially
luminous vibrio) and viruses. The higher densities of animals
in
the culture system is conducive for the spread of pathogens and
the aquatic system with regular application of protein rich feed
is ideal for culturing bacteria. Indiscriminate use of antibiotics
has lead to an increase in vibrios and presumably other bacteria
having multiple antibiotic resistance and to an increase in more
virulent pathogens. Shrimp farmers have to learn to live with
a complex community of microbes and manage them hence the use
of beneficial
bacterial (probiotics) to outnumber the pathogenic bacteria by
competitive process is a better remedy than administering antibiotics.
COMPOSITION
AND MODE OF ACTION:
MIKROZYME-BS
has been developed as a tool to effectively control the pathogens
and improve
water quality parameters and in-turn reduce stress on the cultured
shrimp.
It is a scientifically blended concentration of Bacillus
subtilis, B.megaterium, B.pumilus, B.polymyxa, B.licheniformes,
Thiobacillus
denitrificans, perococcus denitrificans which are selected,
adapted and cultured, non pathogenic, non GM bacteria plus enzymes
and special
synergizers and buffers fermented with cereal and mineral substrate.
In addition two strains of cellulolytic fungi belonging to
the genus aspergillus have been incorporated. It is a total primary
semisolid
fermentation product unlike other products which are usually
bye-products of microbial fermentation processes. It is designed
to degrade organic
wastes in the pond bottom, reduce accumulated scum and bottom
sludge. It helps to accelerate the removal of H2s, NH3, NO2 and
NO3 in pond
water.
ADVANTAGES:
- Reduces BOD, COD
- Reduces
organic loads, stabilizes bloom & PH
- Improves survival and growth
- Performs
well in different conditions of PH: 3-9.5, Temp: upto 600c,Salinity:
0-50ppt
- No soaking or brewing or activation required
- Enhances nitrification cycle
- Highly
concentrated hence effective in low doses thus becomes most
economical.
- Effective
in aerobic & anaerobic conditions
