The
variations in environmental fluctuations have a profound effect
on the condition of the animal under culture.
The culture system has evolved from the traditional types to semi
extensive type and the expansion of aquaculture has also resulted
in the increase in the incidence of diseases. The mass mortalities
in higher stocking systems have resulted in higher economic losses
for the farmers. The fluctuation in the environmental conditions, management
practices, deterioration of water quality, poor quality of PL, indiscriminate
use of antibiotics and chemicals have all lead
to the onset of diseases and their proliferation.
The negative impact
of environmental conditions could be overcome by strengthening the
physiology of the animal. This is possible
by incorporating feed probiotics. A live microbial feed supplement
which beneficially affects the host animals by improving its
intestinal microbial balance is called a feed probitic. The feed
probiotics
may be composed of many different types of bacteria. The species
with most published observations of these are the lactic acid
producing microbes
LACTOPLUS has been scientifically blended to deliver the right amount of lactic
acid bacillus to the shrimp to impact the gut microflora. The use of beneficial
bacteria to displace pathogens by competitive processes is a better remedy
than administering antibiotics. The lactobacillus sps are known to produce
bactericins.
Composition:
Lactic acid bacillus, osmoprotectants and it is also a source of minerals amino
acids and vitamins like thiamine, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, niacin, vitamin
A, B12, E. Low amounts of protein, crude fat and fibre are also available
to the animal.
Advantages:
- Improves
survival and growth
- Improves
gut microflora
- Optimises
FCR
- Provides
osmotic stability
