(A POWERFUL, ECONOMICAL, EFFICIENT
WATER & SOIL
PROBIOTIC)
The success of aquaculture operation is largely
dependent on the water and soil conditions. It is imperative that
the pond bottom
should live longer than the cultured animals. The fresh water
aquaculture operations include the fish culture, scampi culture
and poly culture
utilizing both the species. The culture periods are longer when
compared with marine species and the pond bottom tends to get
heavily polluted with high levels of organic wastes. Freshwater
prawn (Macrobrachium
rosenbergii) farming has been expanding globally as an alternative
species to p.monodon as it is claimed to be less susceptible
to disease than marine shrimp. However, a wide variety of diseases
and water quality problems have already been reported. Antibiotics,
which have been used in large quantities are in many cases ineffective
or result in increases in virulence of pathogens. Further more,
they are cause of concern in promoting transfer of antibiotic
resistance
to human pathogens. Usage of probiotics would be a better means
to curb the problems. Adding specially adapted species of bacteria
to overcome the pathogenic bacteria could alter the composition
of microbial species in the ponds. “BIOCARE” has been
specially designed to be used in for freshwater aquaculture operations
where disease problems are likely to be encountered. It effectively
degrades sludge on the pond bottom and maintains water quality.
COMPOSITION:
“BIOCARE” is mainly composed of non-pathogenic,
freshwater adapted Bacillus and fungal species which are capable
of producing
copious amounts of degrading enzymes viz., amylase, protease,
lipase and cellulase. These bateria are capable of becoming dominant
species
in short time.
ADAVANTAGES:
-
Direct application. No brewing soaking is required.
-
Low levels of application which works out to be economical.
-
Reduces BOD and COD levels.
-
Reduces levels of ammonia and other toxic gases.
-
Conditions the bottom and maintains good water quality and
also stablizes
blooms and regulates PH.
-
Becomes dominant species and curbs the growth of pathogenic
bacteria.
-
Reduces the usage of expensive chemicals,
zeolites and antibiotics thereby reducing the
cost of production.
-
Degrades sludge.
-
Optimizes FCR
DOSAGE & USAGE:
1Kg / ha. Of water or Spread area once in 15 days
till 90 DOC. Increase the dosage by 500 gms/ Ha for subsequent
applications till end
of culture. Mix in 50 lts of pond water and spread evenly all
Over the pond preferably in the evening time.
